New Hair Color?

So for anyone that knows me, they know that I get pretty bored with my hair color if I keep it one color for too long. I reaaaally want to do a purplish red color and I know what volume of developer to use and have everything I need except the color...and to top it off the people at Sally's were of NO help at all. It's frustrating. I don't want fire engine red or anything. Just a vibrant purplish reddish hue. Ill post a pic below of what I'm thinking. PLEASE if any of you have any recommendations or have good/bad experience with any brands let me know. I got Ion Color Brilliance in 5RV-5.5 (light burgundy brown. This is from the Ion Richest Reds collection. I'm really hesitant to try it so I guess I'll be doing a strand test.

Summer Faves at Ulta

I recently made a trip to Ulta and got a few summery products which I absolutely LOVE. The first one was my St. Tropez bronzing mousse. This stuff is a little pricey retailing at around $44 but its totally worth it! It's by far the best self tanner I've ever used. It's 8 fl oz so it's a pretty good sized bottle and it should last you for quite a while. I purchased a blending mitt with it for $5-6, which I recommend because if you're spending that much on tanner, you want to make sure that its blended well. I also bought a Lorac TANtalizig set. That came with a 1.52 fl oz tube of TANtalizer body bronzing luminizer, a baked bronzer, three eyeshadows in the colors Costa Rican Coffee, Barbados Bronze, and Tahitian Sand. I absolutely love my Lorac purchase. I want to say it was around $35 for the whole kit which is a great deal for everything you get. It even came with a tube of lipgloss but it was too dark for me so I gave it to my mom! I bough my usual Smashbox Studio Skin foundation in the shade 2.1 which is a 15 hour wear foundation, and purchased a Smashbox primer with it as well. In the past I bought the Smashbox compact powder which was great but didn't last me as long as I hoped. I love trying new products so I tried a new powder by Napoleon Perdis which I'm not sure if I love yet, then again I've only tried it twice and both times were during our 110+ degree weather so yeah...lol. I don't know of many foundations that won't melt in that heat. Anywho, these are all great products that I definitely recommend trying! If you have any questions please contact me or comment below :)

Late Night Ramblin!

It's very late...but I have a lot on my mind tonight and I can't quite get myself to fall asleep. I told you all that I started P90X and I know it's just going to get tougher from here on out but it WILL be worth it. I'm thinking about touching up my blonde tomorrow in my bangs and possibly adding a bit more. I love my hair right now but I get SO bored with it that I always change it up. Not sure what tomorrow will bring as far as my hair goes but I'm sure it will be something fab! I can't wait until tuesday for PLL. For fans of the show, you all know what PLL stands for. For others that don't know, it's Pretty Little Liars aka the best show. Ever. All of this random mumbo jumbo I'm talking is finally starting to make me tired so I'm going to hit the hay before I really start not making sense. G'night all!

P90X Challenge

Tomorrow I am starting P90X. Saturday seems like a sucky day to start, and most people would put it off until Monday and relax over the weekend but I've decided I do not want to and will not procrastinate anymore. Within the last year and a half to two years I gained over 40 lbs. I don't feel like myself anymore, it hurts to get out of bed and walk, and nothing fits! Before the weight gain I wanted to lose about 20 lbs so this extra weight has set me back even more from reaching my goal. The last month or so I've been watching what I eat, and keep my calories at about 1200 a day with the help of My Fitness Pal app. Just using this app alone and counting my calories is a HUGE eye opener. I don't think many of us realize how many calories we intake a day. I know that before I started counting calories I probably ate 1200 or more calories in one meal. So far I have lost about 9 lbs on my own. It is so important that you don't deprive yourself of having things you want though because that will make you go crazy. My weakness is pizza. I absolutely love it! Instead of eating it every week and helping myself to two or three slices, I splurge once in a while and eat my one slice very slowly. I also make sure I drink plenty of water before eating because it helps you get full faster. I'm not seeing results as fast as I would like, but I know it takes time and patience and I am anything but patient! I am tired of talking and ready to commit to living a healthy and happy life. This is why I am going to push myself to do P90X. I've read a lot of success stories that are so inspirational and I want to be one of those stories and share my experience with you! I would love to hear any other success stories so don't be shy to share them! I'm ready to take charge and make changes!

Hello!

Hi! I'm still working on getting my page put together but I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Stephanie :)
I created this blog because I absolutely love beauty and putting my own spin on things. I frequently read other people's blogs and I enjoy it so I thought, why not make my own and share my ideas with anybody who has the same interests as I do!
